Preface:
Since 1973, I have had
but one mission … to bring honor and glory to my
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I will be with
them that will say:
“Blessing, and honour,
and glory, and power, be unto him that
sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever
and ever.” [Revelation 5:13b]
2 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of
God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof,
for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The Guideline:
“Study to shew thyself
approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be
ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
[2 Timothy 2:15]
My goal in this
commentary is to: BELIEVE the Bible, and
to not just USE the Bible.
This Bible is the
Authorized Version of 1611, or any of its editions,
commonly called the King James Bible.
This commentary of
Galatians will attempt to be a
verse-by-verse study:
1.
Expounding the doctrine
of each verse,
2.
Providing the historical
or prophetical application of the verse,
3.
Including the practical,
[and or] the spiritual application of the
verse,
4.
Maintaining the context
of scripture wherein the verse is
found,
5.
Taking of the plain
literal meaning unless it is obviously
figurative or with similitude.
The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the
Galatians
This epistle contains:
1. 6 chapters,
2. 149 verses,
3. 3090 words.
Galatians, Chapter One:
Verse one: “Paul,
an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by
Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him
from the dead;)”
Paul, was one who was
born out of due time; a perfect time.
The man came by an appointment made by God for a
set purpose:
Galatians, Chapter Two:
Verse one: “Then
fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem
with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.”
Now, fourteen
years is a long time in a man’s life.
The case here is now building. It is
getting increasingly clearer, and clearer
with each line of the Scripture that we read
in this epistle as to what we are
seeing.
Galatians, Chapter Three:
Verse one:
“O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you,
that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes
Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth,
crucified among you?”
Paul is not calling them
fools! But he is saying that, they have
been fooled.
Galatians, Chapter Four
Verse one: “Now I say,
That the heir, as long as he is a child,
differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord
of all;”
This heir here, is
none other, but Jesus Christ. Further,
the heir, is coming to claim, what is
rightfully HIS, thus “he shall come.”
This is prophesied, in the book of Micah,
and what is prophesied will certainly become
HISTORY:
Galatians, Chapter Five
Verse one: “Stand fast
therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made
us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage.”
Now observe: A freeman
enjoys liberty. And this liberty,
is now, in his GENES, so-to-speak.
And, how so, you ask. And, just
where did he get those GENES, or those new
traits, that made him this FREEMAN?
Galatians, Chapter Six
Verse one: “Stand fast
therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made
us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of
bondage.”
Now observe: A freeman
enjoys liberty. And this liberty,
is now, in his GENES, so-to-speak.
And, how so, you ask. And, just
where did he get those GENES, or those new
traits, that made him this FREEMAN?
