The Book of MicahManna From Heaven

Micah 7:14 “Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.
15 According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.”

1. Feeding People

Verse fourteen: “Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.”

Verse fourteen ... is pointing to a future miracle.

The unbelieving hearts of men laugh to scorn the verity of the miracles found in the Bible.

Let them laugh! The truth the matter is that … they are stumbling around, totally blind to the supernatural things occurring all around them.

You might say their problem is this; they can see only as far as the end of their noses [which isn’t very far].

Now, the reason they cannot see is totally a HEART problem.

Take for instance, the recorded MIRACLE of God feeding the people of a whole nation of over two million people … in a wilderness … for nearly forty years.  This event conjures up a gigantic fairy tale … in the mind of the unsaved educated scholar.  These are fairy tales, are they?

Now, if they could have been there, they would have seen it with their own eyes.

Now get this!  Though the unsaved educated scholars would have seen it with their eyes, [and though they would have filled their bellies], it still would not have solved the problem they had in their hearts.  They simply would have joined forces with the crowd that murmured and complained at the goodness of God.

Read your King James Bible, and see if this thing is not true.  In the end, it will not matter at all though the consensus of the whole world be against the Bible and the God of the Bible.

What the Bible says is TRUTH. Amen!

2. The Rod and The Flock

When something is impossible for a man to do, the thing is always possible with God.

Now, where did I get this?  It comes from what Jesus Christ said in the book of Matthew, chapter nineteen, verse twenty-six: “But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.” [Matthew 19:26]

Now, we are ready to read in the book of Exodus, and see what God did 3,500 years ago.

For this, go to chapter sixteen, and see the miracle of the feeding of the people.  Verse thirteen thru fifteen: “And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host.

And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground.

And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the Lord hath given you to eat.” [Exodus 16:13-15]

There is time in the near future when “a rod” will come forth to “feed” the people when the people find it impossible to “feed” themselves.  This supernatural event is set for to happen again just as it happened in the wilderness, and as told to us, in the book of Exodus.

The prophet Isaiah foretells of this very event in the book of Isaiah in chapter eleven, verse one: “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:” [Isaiah 11:1].

What is more, this “rod” will come out of Israel [Jesse] and this “rod” is also called: “a Branch”.

This person, who is “a Branch”, whose name “is the Lord of hosts” will feed the Jewish people once again in a wilderness “among the mountains”.

Notice with me this … in Jeremiah chapter forty-six, verse eighteen: “As I live, saith the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts, Surely as Tabor is among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.” [Jeremiah 46:18]

The “rod” [in our verse] is Jesus Christ Who is God come in the flesh. [See 2 Timothy 3:16.]

The “flock” [in our verse] is Israel.

3. A Place Prepared

Verse fifteen: “According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things.”

Notice, in our verse [fifteen]; what is to follow … is according to a pattern.  The pattern is “according to the days of thy coming out of the land”.

What is set to happen … during the time of Jacob’s Trouble [THE SEVEN YEAR TRIBULATION] is in preparation of the people coming out of the land of Egypt … a second time [which is also a type of the world].  In this event God will show “marvelous things” to the Jews, and to all who have eyes to see. Amen!

In a nutshell, God is planning to separate the nation of Israel from the world [Egypt] and bring them “to his habitation” [THE LAND]. [Even now, this is happening, and this, ever since 1948.  The Jews are coming back to THE LAND.]

This is so marvelous!

For this, we need to see: Jeremiah chapter fifty, verse nineteen: “And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.” [Jeremiah 50:19]

[This verse has for its setting in time located in the upcoming Great Tribulation.]

Now, here is a geography lesson that will pin down the place that is being prepared of God.

First, Bashan is on the extreme northeast of Israel, and second, Gilead is to the southwest, then third, is Carmel is on the northwest of Israel near the Mediterranean Sea, and fourth, is Sharon, which is south from this point [Carmel].

Now, get this.  The LAND that is bound by these locations will be the place prepared of God to feed the Jewish people that have fled the cities from the serpent [SATAN] for three and half years. Israel will be fed the MANNA from Heaven.  The things impossible for men … are the very things possible with God! [Miracles are a DIVINE intervention in the affairs of men.]

We are now ready to read from the book of Revelation, chapter twelve, verses six: “And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.” [Revelation 12:6]

The “woman” is Israel [a type], and “they” that “should feed her” is not identified.

Let’s read verse fourteen: “And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” [Revelation 12:14]

Just as God fed them [Israel] in the wilderness after they [Israel] came out of Egypt 3,500 years ago, God will feed them [Israel] again in the wilderness in the mountains of Israel for the last half of the seven-year Tribulation [42 months].

It is … just as it says it is … in Deuteronomy chapter eight, verse sixteen: “Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;” [Deuteronomy 8:16].

Just as God fed them manna to humble them and to prove them then, God will feed them manna again … to humble them and to prove them just before HE comes to establish the Millennial [one thousand years] Kingdom from Jerusalem.

The things that are impossible with men … are the very things possible with God.

God will feed the Jewish nation once again with the manna from Heaven against all odds. Amen!
