King James Bible Only
Study in The First Book of Peter
The Kingdom Of Heaven (Or the Millennial Kingdom) ... Read more?
The primary theme of the Bible is one of kingdoms and kings. In fact, two of books are named KINGS: I Kings and II Kings. Kingdoms and Kings! Two more books that chronicle kingdoms and kings (in particular the Jewish kingdoms and their kings) are I Chronicles and II Chronicles. In Matthew 4:8, we see a strange scene … six thousand years in a moment of time, with all “the kingdoms of the world” being offered by the god of this world (Satan) to the SON of GOD Jesus Christ.

“Who is among you that feareth the LORD, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in darkness, and hath no light? let him trust in the name of the LORD, and stay upon his God. Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.” (Isaiah 50:10-11)
In January, 1977, when I exited the gate of the U.S. Navy’s Treasure Island in California for the last time, I became a civilian again. But I was not the same civilian as I was before I went into the Navy.
Before I went into the Navy, I was in spiritual darkness,
“for
ye were sometimes darkness”. I also was without hope.
“That at the
time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of
Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope,
and without God in the world.” (Ephesians 2:12) Further as a member
of this old world I was a hater of God. To say it bluntly I was
living by the light of my own fire.
However, the man who went through that gate in 1977 was no longer living by the light of his own fire. He had found by the grace of God the truth of the utter fruitlessness of such an endeavor. That endeavor is living by the light of one’s own fire.
“Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled.”
As a nation and as individuals … we have decided to walk in the light of our own fire. This fire provides a false light … a kind of light that leads to an eternal fire. We think we are so wise and so greatly advanced in our learning that the Bible (and the GOD of that Bible) is irrelevant. But friend let me tell you something! You will need to BUCK the flow of this old world in order to understand what is happening to this old world. Now STOP all this running around with the wrong crowd! They are lying to you. That Bible is the most relevant book on the face of this Earth. That BOOK tells us to reject the light of our own fire and to desire and to obtain that illumination provided by the LIGHT of the pure words of God.
What’s more … the Bible reveals who we are and where we are in a timeline given for human history. (But you will have to BELIEVE THE BOOK to understand where we are within this great expanse of time. This BOOK I am referring to is the Authorized Version of 1611, or any of its editions, and is also known as the King James Bible). That BOOK indicates that we are living in the latter times that are allocated to the Gentile nations before God again turns to his chosen nation, which is Israel.
We are
living in the
Church Age or otherwise known as the
Age of Grace.
Further, this is a period of time identified as a mystery, and
is a dispensation hid from ages and from generations. “To whom
God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of
glory:” (Colossians 1:27).
Furthermore, the Bible reveals in the
book of the Revelation that
this particular part of the church
age (which we are now living in) began around the year 1900.
This period of time is characterized by the last of the seven
churches that are found in the first four chapters of this book.
The church is identified as the church of Laodicea. (Revelation
3:14-22)

This church is lukewarm in its love and devotion to Jesus Christ in the estimation of God. It is a church caught basking in the light of its own fire. It is a church that thinks it is rich and loves its own light, not wanting the LIGHT of God’s word. Now what does God think of all this? He says that they are “wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”
God counsels this church to be clothed in “white raiment” so as to cover the shame of its nakedness … and REPENT, verse 18-19. Apostasy is what is found in this church. The Scripture here shows that this church of the Laodiceans had fallen away from the LORD Jesus Christ and his BOOK. (This is true in a literal sense … to a literal church in Asia Minor.)
However, this same Scripture has a fulfillment in a future event (in a prophetic sense). It points to the apostasy that would run rampant in our day. “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.” (II Thessalonians 2:4)
The last part of the church age is therefore characterized by APOSTASY in the churches. The Bible’s precepts, principles, and commands in the last one hundred years have become so many shades of gray to the vast multitude of Christians. This was till the robber came and stole our sense of absolutes, and had supplanted in its place his shades of gray.
We were a nation that had a heritage rooted in biblical
traditions.
America, in its very roots, had a godly heritage.
The fruit of the Great Awakening in eighteenth century, and the
revivals in the nineteenth century, affected all our
inhabitants, and permeated its institutions, its laws and it
traditions.

Men and women modeled their marriages and families after the biblical model. Even those unregenerate human hearts in our population felt this restraint from doing evil. This placed a check on our nation from going too far wayward from THE LAW of God (The Ten Commandments).
As long as we were a nation that revered and believed the old black BOOK, the King James Bible, we would enjoy God’s blessings as an American Gentile nation whom God placed in the latter part of the sixth millennium years of human history.
Believing the BOOK is paramount to everything that matters in
this life and holds the KEY to a correct understanding of
history. BELIEVING is the KEY to a proper understanding of the
Bible.

We need to observe two more keys in this sequence. The key to our understanding of the Old Testament … is the book of Revelation.
The key to our understanding of the New Testament ... is the Old Testament. “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4)

In more than thirty years of experience reading them, studying them, listening to them, looking at them, and teaching them, I have developed several rules of thumb concerning books and periodicals.
Two of those rules are particularly relevant when I read "Christian literature." One, if a work contains The Truth about in its title, it' s usually lying; two, if a work contains references to logic, balance, fairness, or mental processes in its title, it's usually unbalanced, unfair, illogical, and mentally deficient. Religious freedom was bought at a tremendous price by the blood of the Baptists for those of us ... in the United States of America.
Religious freedom came to us through Baptist believers in Jesus Christ. They are the Bible-believing people to whom we owe much of our freedoms that we enjoy to this very day. We need to learn from history! Read more?

None of the numerous sesquicentennial events in our land has deeper significance than the dedication of a college chapel in the heart of the country in memory of John Gano “the fighting chaplain” of the Revolutionary War and a close friend of George Washington.
John Gano and his sons stood preeminent in three particulars: patriotism, missions and education.
Heroic devotion to the country, heroic devotion to the extension of the sway of Christ and heroic devotion to higher education have seldom been so splendidly combined. Read more?

This subject deals with the break down in our society of one the
most basic requirements needed for any family or any human
organization to function or work and indeed is needed for us to
survive.
It was the winter of 1996, and it is a mild winter, unlike those of years ago. I decided to retrace for my family the “rabbit run" of my earlier years in New England.
To do this we had to run the "The Silver Fox" (our affectionate term for our '89 Ford Crown Victoria wagon) on a 2,800-mile jaunt in six days through eight states.
One of the places we went to was the former site of Peacham Academy in Peacham, Vermont. (The old academy building burnt down in 1976.)
As we stood there before a very accurate miniature replica of the building, my thoughts were coming together about the subject of this message. Read more?

A friend is defined in the Bible as one who is “as thine own soul.” [See Deuteronomy 13:6] A friend is one who sticks “closer than a brother”.
Proverbs chapter eighteen, verse twenty-four: “A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” [Proverbs 18:24]
It is a true friend that will stick with you through thick and thin while he, or she, is building you up. This building up is otherwise called sharpening you up.
In the Bible this mutual sharpening process is perfectly described in the book of Proverbs in chapter twenty-seven, verse seventeen, as this: “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” [Proverbs 27:17]
Now, there is something else to consider about a friend. There are people in our lives that we “use” as our friends. We “use” one another! Does this surprise you? It shouldn’t. We “use” certain of others around us as our friends. Read more?

The world that is coming will be the restitution of all things. It is what we are waiting for, and is want we all long for, which none of us could ever obtain for ourselves by ourselves. We need the Son of God [Jesus Christ] to implement the whole thing for us.
The League of Nations failed to give us this new world order after World War I. The United Nations is failing to give us this world wide peace today. Napoleon couldn’t do in nineteenth century neither could Hitler impose his version of a new world order in the twentieth century.
Even Karl Marx and all his faithful adherents could not do it. Vladimir Lenin could not do it [in 1924] neither could Joseph Stalin do it [in 1953].
Socialism is not the answer! Communism is not the answer!
When will we learn that man is utterly incapable to usher in a world order of peace for all the inhabitants of the earth to enjoy without killing and enslaving people of this world?
Admit it, that men just cannot get the job done! Read more?
Where did this quote come from: "You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich."

Lyman Beecher, 1775-1863, a famous Congregational minister wrote the following:
We are called upon to cherish with high veneration and grateful recollections, the memory of our fathers.
Both the ties of nature and the dictates of policy demand this.
And surely no nation had ever less occasion to be ashamed of its ancestry, or more occasion for gratulation in that respect; for while most nations trace their origin to barbarians, the foundations of our nation were laid by civilized men, by Christians.

About this time, perhaps a little earlier, young Lane was convicted and converted in a most remarkable way, under the ministry of Shubael Stearns, who had been "itinerating" extensively p. 319 in Virginia and North Carolina, and preaching with wonderful success.
Morgan Edwards describes him as a "marvelous preacher for
moving the emotions and melting his audience to tears. Most exciting
stories were told about the piercing glance of his eye and the
melting tones of his voice, while his appearance was that of a
patriarch." Read more?
If the hills of Tennessee could tell us of the forgotten story [in history] of how the thousands of Baptist churches in the BIBLE BELT had their beginnings, they would tell us of how a Bible-believing preacher by the name of Shubal Stearns sent preachers, teachers and pastors throughout the American South including Tennessee. Christian, do you believe that your Heavenly Father inspired the very words of scripture?
Now imagine that the Lord’s own words were compiled in a book and placed on the desk before you. Would you take it up gladly, cherish it and read it?
If not, please trouble yourself no further. If, on the other hand, you would, but aren't fully aware that he did, this message is addressed to you.

In this message we will find that God in certain times and under certain conditions will equip the believer with an “adamant” “forehead”.
He fashions this “adamant” “forehead” in the believer in Jesus Christ so as to compensate for the poison found in this 21st century.

We are at the end of the present age … the Church Age. [1 Thessalonians 4:16-17]
The time is just a few minutes before midnight when no man can work. The night cometh!
Jesus said this very thing while He was on this earth nearly two thousand years ago. [John 9:4]: “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.”

May we call the KJB inspired, or merely the best translation of the inspired originals and copies of them? Is it truly scripture as we read in II Timothy 3:16 or not?
Why The English Of The King James Bible Is Better Than That Of All The Modern Versions -
First, the KJB is precise in the use of the old pronounsin the second person, and that is necessary for a literal and accurate translation. Modern translations can never match it.

I believe that inspiration is not a process but an entity, an eternal entity, a fact or deed.
If the KJV translators had believed it was a process they would have translated II Timothy 3:16 “pasa graphe theopneustos” as “All scripture is God breathed.”

From Cain to Balaam, from Jehudi to the scribes and Pharisees, from the Dark Age theologians to present-day scholars, the living words of the Almighty God have been prime targets for man’s corrupting hand.

HARD HEARTS: The Cause And The Cure

The Greatest Of These Is Charity
Thomas Tenison ... an early defender of the King James Bible
Marvel Not, My Brethren, If The World Hate You
The Testimony of Dan Brown (author of The Da Vinci Code)
Sin within the heart of man fans the flames ever hotter and hotter when the inhabitants of this earth come together.
It is not healthy for people when the people live too close together.
It is as Thomas Jefferson, one of our founding fathers, that gave us this observation over two hundred years ago.
Quote: “When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.”
Now, Thomas Jefferson believed the Bible as many of our forefathers did.
They got their “wisdom” from the word of God. “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.” [Proverbs 9:10]
This is where we need to go … in order to receive WISDOM.
Read more?This is God's Holy WORD to you and I!
Do you believe it?
The A.V.1611 (or The King James Bible) is God's word PRESERVED in the English language for you and me. It came from the English Reformation.
This Bible declares that: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." [2 Timothy 3:16]
God's inspired word is preserved in the A.V.1611.
The word "preserved" means maintained inspiration. "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in the furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." [Psalm 12:6-7]
You see what God is saying here? GOD promises that no matter what man does, even with his corrupting influence in all these Madison Avenue money-making productions, which have resulted in over 200 "new" English translations of the Bible in the last 100 plus years, HE WILL (in spite of the scholars) "PRESERVE THEM FROM THIS GENERATION FOR EVER!" Stick with the Book! Amen! Amen! AMEN!
I simply have in child-likeness believed THE BOOK ... no matter how hard things got ... for it has BURNED in my heart for these last thirty-four years.
I have by GRACE not gotten off course either ... for He has held me to Himself.
God is faithful, and I (literally) have taken God at His word concerning 1 Peter 1:5.
"Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time."
And while I have seen the Lord hold me to Himself, I have with sadness watched as many people, churches, Bible colleges and even our nation, are slowly slipping ... degree by degree ... away from THE GOD of THE BIBLE.
Why has this happened?
Could it be, that we can, through unholy alliances, lose something that we never intended to give up?
For me, Rick St.James, I am to approach THE BOOK, as like a child, with a trusting heart through faith.
I want to line out with that BOOK!
I want this said of me, as also was said of the believers at
Thessalonica;
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye
received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as
the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God which
effectually worketh also in you that believe." [1 Thessalonians
2:13]
What about you?
"Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD. Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart" [Psalm 119:2]
They who keep his testimonies have a whole heart. Their heart will approach God and His Book with total joy and expecting to commune with the Holy God who is infinite, for this purpose:
"Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes. With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word" [Psalm 119:12-16]
“Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as a shepherd's tent: I have cut off like a Weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me.” [Isaiah 38:12]
Have you arrived at this point?
A man or a woman is filled with wisdom … when he or she comes to the LORD and prays like David did in Psalm thirty-nine verse four: “Lord, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am.” [Psalm 39:4]
This is prayer: Make me to know my “end” so that I may have knowledge of how weak I am.
If you know your end, my friend, then your pride will inevitably be weakened. Humility will become a friend. Humility will come to live with you.
Listen to what the Spirit of God [through Job] says in Job chapter six, verse eleven: “What is my strength, that I should hope? and what is mine end, that I should prolong my life?” [Job 6:11]
Do you see what I see? Job is asking the right question. You will be wise if you ask the same question. Job knows that his end is … PEACE. See this in Job chapter twenty-six in verse ten: “He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end.” [Job 26:10]
Next, look at what God gave us [through David] in the book of Psalms. “Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.” [Psalm 37:37-38] The end of the “perfect man” is very different than the end of the “wicked”.
There is a desired “end” for a man. God desires to give the “perfect man” … “peace.”
Will You Come To Jesus Christ?
Do you believe this scripture, my friend?
Do you sense from within your heart ... the tugging and pulling of the Spirit of God?
The Holy Spirit "will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment."
Are you under tremendous conviction of sin, and are you mulling over within your heart the TWO WAYS in life that lie before you?
You must make a decision.
It is a matter of whether or not to go to THE STRAIT GATE, or to stay on THE BROAD WAY!
Where are you, my friend?
What will you do with Jesus Christ?
Will you flee from the wrath of God, and go to
THE DOOR, and Knock?
If you go through this DOOR you will be on location at Mount Calvary which place is where the weight of your sin will drop off your back at the sight of the ONE who died for you, and WHO shed His BLOOD for you.
You ... my friend ... will then ... be on THE NARROW WAY TO HEAVEN! AMEN! AMEN! AMEN!
For the Christian ...
As you grow in Jesus Christ, may you come to a point in your life that these old hymns continuously fill your heart.
Read them my friend!
Sing to the LORD from your heart!
Be Thou my Vision
Be Thou my Vision, O Lord of my heart;
Naught be all else to me, save that Thou art
Thou my best Thought, by day or by night,
Waking or sleeping, Thy presence my light.
Be Thou my Wisdom, and Thou my true Word;
I ever with Thee and Thou with me, Lord;
Thou my great Father, I Thy true son;
Thou in me dwelling, and I with Thee one.
Be Thou my battle Shield, Sword for the fight;
Be Thou my Dignity, Thou my Delight;
Thou my soul's Shelter, Thou my high Tower:
Raise Thou me heavenward, O Power of my power.
Riches I heed not, nor man's empty praise,
Thou mine Inheritance, now and always:
Thou and Thou only, first in my heart,
High King of heaven, my Treasure Thou art.
High King of heaven, my victory won,
May I reach heaven's joys, O bright heaven's Sun!
Heart of my own heart, whatever befall,
Still be my Vision, O Ruler of all.
Be Thou My Vision

Majestic Sweetness Sits Enthroned
Written by Samuel Stennett
Majestic sweetness sits enthroned
Upon the Saviour’s brow;
His head with radiant glories crowned,
His lips with grace o’erflow ,
His lips with grace o’erflow.
No mortal can with Him compare,
Among the sons of men;
Fairer is He than all the fair
Who fill the heav’nly train,
Who fill the heav’nly train.
He saw me plunged in deep distress,
And flew to my relief;
For me He bore the shameful cross,
And carried all my grief,
And carried all my grief.
To Him I owe my life and breath,
And all the joys I have;
He makes me triumph over death,
And saves me from the grave,
And saves me from the grave.
